Each year Music History seniors work on a capstone research project as a part of their undergraduates degrees. This year the students have the honor and distinction of presenting their work at two exciting venues:
Emily Mellen and Soo Kyung Park, were selected by the UCLA Humanities and Arts Undergraduate Research Center to present their research at UCLA Undergraduate Research Week: Greater Than the Sum of its Parts taking place May 23-27, 2016. Mellen and Park’s presentations on their capstone project will be on May 26th at the Powell Library Room 228 from 10AM to 11AM.
In addition, UCLA Musicology will be holding the second annual Undergraduate Research Conference, where all seniors will be presenting their capstone projects, covering various topics such as: feminism, neocolonialism, noise, politics, gender, Mad Max, and more. These presentations will take place in Schoenberg Music Building on Monday, May 23, 2016 and Tuesday, May 24, 2016.
