Come hear the UCLA Early Music Ensemble: "Quam Pulchra Es" as we perform different musical settings on loving texts related to the Song of Songs.
Included are compositions by John Dunstable (1390 – 1453), John Pyamour (c. 1418 – 1426), Guillaume Dufay (c. 1397 – 1474), Orlando di Lasso (1532 – 1594), Claudio Monteverdi (1567 – 1643), Giovanni Cima (c. 1570 – 1622), Alessandro Grandi (1586 – 1630), Biagio Marini (1594 – 1663), Giovanni Rovetta (1596 – 1668), and Maurice Duruflé (1902 – 1986).
The concert takes place on Saturday, March 2, at 8PM in the Powell Library Rotunda.
